As Alina walked into the bathroom, she felt a familiar tightness in her stomach. It was an uncomfortable feeling that she had become all too familiar with over the past few months. Her small, eight-year-old body was going through some changes, and sometimes, it seemed like her insides were constantly in turmoil.
With a sigh, Alina locked the door behind her and sat down on the toilet seat, trying to ignore the tingling sensation in her bottom. She had been holding it in for as long as she could, but she was afraid that if she waited any longer, she might not be able to make it to the bathroom.
With one last deep breath, Alina let go. The rush of warm liquid filling the bowl wasn't as shocking as it had been the first few times, but it still made her blush with embarrassment. She closed her eyes and tried to concentrate on something else, anything else, but all she could hear was the sounds of her own body moving and the smell of... well, it was kind of like rotten eggs mixed with something else.
It took a few minutes before Alina finally felt like she could stand up. She flushed the toilet and leaned against the wall, trying to catch her breath. She knew she should wash her hands, but all she wanted to do was get out of there and pretend like nothing had happened.
As she opened the bathroom door, she could feel her heart racing. What if someone had heard her? What if they could smell it too? Her skin felt hot and clammy, and she could feel herself blushing from head to toe.
Just as she was about to run out of the room, she heard her mom's voice calling her name. With a shaky breath, Alina forced herself to walk towards the sound, trying not to make any sudden movements that might give her away.
"Alina, are you okay?" her mom asked, sounding worried. "You look a bit pale."
"I'm... I'm fine, Mom," Alina managed to say between breaths. "I just..."
"Do you need to go back to the bathroom?" her mom asked, placing a hand on her shoulder.
For a moment, Alina considered lying, but she knew that would only make things worse. Taking a deep breath, she nodded her head slowly. "I guess I... Maybe I should."
With that, Alina turned and walked back to the bathroom, feeling more embarrassed than ever. She knew her mom was probably worried about her, but all she could think about was how mortified she felt. She didn't want to be this way; she just wished her body would stop making everything so... well, difficult.
As she finished washing her hands and left the bathroom, she tried to act like nothing was wrong, but she could feel the heat in her cheeks and the tightness in her stomach. It was going to be a long, embarrassing day.
