Natalia Kapretti Teaches Her Little Sasha About Personal Hygiene and Peeing in the Bathtub
The sun begins to set, casting a warm glow over the Kapretti household. Natalia, a loving mother of three, smiles as she watches her youngest daughter, Sasha, playing in the backyard with her older siblings. As much as she enjoys watching Sasha's energy and joy, Natalia knows it's almost time for their evening routine—bath time.
Sasha plops down next to Natalia on the porch swing, her grubby little hands holding a sticky jar filled with mud pies she's made earlier. Natalia looks at her daughter's face, streaked with dirt and grass stains, and gently rubs her back. "Let's go inside, sweetie," she says softly. "It's time for a nice warm bath."
Inside the house, Natalia guides Sasha to the bathroom where she turns on the faucet and fills the tub with steaming hot water. Sasha watches curiously as her mother adds some bubbly bath salts, creating a calming scent in the room. Despite her initial hesitation, Sasha climbs into the tub, eager to explore this new sensory experience.
As Natalia washes Sasha's grubby hands and feet, she explains why it's important to maintain personal hygiene, especially before going to bed. "We need to keep our bodies clean, sweetheart," she says, gently rubbing a washcloth over Sasha's wet skin. "That way, we can feel fresh and cozy when we sleep."
Natalia tells Sasha about the time she got into trouble at school because she had a bad case of head lice. "It was horrible!" she recalls with a shudder. "We had to miss school, and I didn't feel good for days. That's why it's so important to wash our hair regularly."
As Natalia works her way up to Sasha's hair, she notices a small dribble of urine on the tub's edge. "Oh, honey," she laughs gently. "You peed in the tub!" She explains that it's perfectly normal for little ones to have accidents occasionally, especially during bath time. "Just try not to do it next time, okay?"
Throughout the bath, Natalia continues to teach Sasha about personal hygiene while also making the experience fun and enjoyable for her. As the water starts to cool down, Natalia helps Sasha out of the tub and wraps her in a soft, warm towel. She applies a soothing lotion on her skin and gently brushes her hair, drying it with a soft, rainbow-colored towel.
Once Sasha is all snuggled up in her pajamas, Natalia leads her into the living room where they spend some quality time together before bed. They read a storybook about a little girl who learns to love bath time, sipping hot chocolate and cuddling on the couch.
As they prepare for bed, Natalia reminds Sasha about their promise—the next time she plays in the sandbox, she'll only wash her face and get dressed right on top of the shit. Sasha giggles excitedly, looking forward to their next adventure together.
