As Alice sat on the toilet, her stomach churned with the intense need to relieve herself. She was desperate to pass stool, but couldn't because she had a friend visiting. For three long days, she had resisted the urge, trying not to draw any attention to her discomfort.
Finally, her friend fell asleep, and Alice felt a sense of relief wash over her. She slipped her feet up onto the toilet seat, preparing herself for the release she so badly needed. With a loud, satisfying plop, she emptied her bowels into the toilet. The coolness of the porcelain against her bottom felt refreshing as she wiped herself clean.
However, the moment of peace was short-lived. She heard a loud sloshing sound coming from the toilet bowl. Horrified, Alice realized that her friend might have heard her flop her poop loudly down the toilet. Panic set in as she contemplated the embarrassment that would ensue if her friend found out what she had just done.
Her heart racing, Alice carefully lowered her feet back to the floor and flushed the toilet. The rush of water drowned out any noise that might have resulted from her earlier actions. She held her breath, waiting for her friend to stir.
Alice's mind raced as she tried to think of plausible excuses for the loud noise. Maybe the pipes just needed to be flushed. Or perhaps it was the water in the toilet bowl sloshing around. Whatever the case, she prayed that her friend wouldn't wake up and ask questions.
After what felt like an eternity, her friend continued to sleep soundly. Slowly, Alice slipped out of the bathroom, relieved that the incident had gone unnoticed. She tried to put it out of her mind, but the memory of her friend sleeping while she pooped, and the fear that she might have heard her flop her poop, lingered long after she had left the bathroom.
