The night started off innocently enough for Sarah. She had attended a party at her friend's house, indulging in some delicious fast food. As the night progressed, she found herself getting increasingly full, but figured she would be fine. Little did she know, that decision would come back to haunt her in a most uncomfortable manner.
As soon as she woke up at around 1 am, she immediately felt the familiar sting of stomach cramps. The pain was intense, and she quickly realized that she had overeaten. Reluctantly, she dragged herself out of bed and made her way to the bathroom. The cramping was getting worse, and she could feel the pressure building up within her.
She sat down on the toilet seat, still groggy from the sudden awakening. The pain was unbearable, and she was barely managing to hold back her tears. After a few moments, she let out a small sigh of relief as the urge to pee subsided. However, the real trouble was yet to come.
She attempted to push the rest of the contents in her bowels out, but nothing seemed to happen. The cramps weren't subsiding, and every now and then, the pain would intensify, causing her to groan in discomfort. Then, as if things couldn't get any worse, she started to feel a bloated sensation in her stomach. It felt like her whole abdomen was about to burst.
Despite the discomfort, she managed to clean herself up using wet wipes. By this point, she was exhausted - both mentally and physically. But to her dismay, she was not done yet. Barely had she laid down on her bed when the cramps returned with a vengeance. This time, they were worse than before, and there was no holding back the pain.
She rushed back to the bathroom, her eyes filled with tears of agony. Once more, she found herself on the toilet seat, scrunching up her face in pain. It felt like hours before she was finally able to push the last bits of food out of her system. By the time she finished, she was weak, drained, and shivering from the cold sweat that had broken out on her body.
As she lay in bed, trying to catch her breath, she knew that she had learned a valuable lesson tonight. Never again would she indulge in food to the point of discomfort. The thought of another night like this was enough to make her shudder with fear. But despite the discomfort, she felt a strange sense of accomplishment. She had endured the pain, and emerged stronger on the other side.
Unfortunately, as she drifted off to sleep, she couldn't help but worry about what tomorrow might bring. Would she get another stomach ache? Would the food stay put this time? Only time would tell.
