Anna was feeling quite pleased with herself as she and her slave, Alice, trotted through the busy streets of London. The sun was shining brightly overhead, casting warm, golden rays upon their skin, but Anna knew that the real heat would start soon enough. She grinned wickedly, anticipating the pleasure that lay ahead.
They had arrived in London just this morning and were there on a special errand: to feed Anna's slave, whom they would soon encounter. However, as they moved through the crowded city streets, Anna felt a slight discomfort in her lower belly. A strange twisting sensation that caused her to frown slightly.
"Are you okay, Mistress Anna?" Alice asked, looking up at her concernedly.
"Oh yes, no worries Alice, I'm just a little...full from dinner last night," Anna replied, trying to sound casual. But she couldn't hide the slight edge of worry in her voice.
As they approached their destination, the twisting in Anna's gut grew more insistent. By the time they stood before the door of the large, grand townhouse they'd been directed to, she felt like she might burst. With a quick knock, they were admitted into the home of Anna's slave.
The room was warm and inviting, with a table set for breakfast. "Good morning Master," Alice said, curtsying deeply.
"Well goodness gracious, Alice. You look simply radiant today! Do you know what day it is?" the slave asked, his eyes twinkling with excitement.
Alice shook her head, her cheeks reddening slightly. "No, Master. What day is it?"
"It's your favorite day, Alice!" the slave exclaimed, clapping his hands together. "It's the day I get to see you perform your duties so beautifully!"
Anna couldn't help but feel a pang of envy at the obvious adoration between Alice and her owner. But she also felt a growing sense of panic as her bowels began to churn uncomfortably.
As they began to eat, however, Anna noticed something strange about the slave's breakfast. It was...moving. A thick, sloshing sound filled the room as he pushed his food around on his plate. And then, to her horror, he lifted a spoonful of what looked like soup to his mouth and began to drink.
"What in the world is going on here?" Anna demanded, leaping to her feet. "What have you done to your slave's breakfast, Alice?"
Alice dropped her head in shame. "I'm sorry, Mistress Anna. I tried everything to make it stop, but...it wouldn't listen."
Anna's eyes widened as the full implication of what she was seeing hit her. The slave had, somehow, managed to create a disgusting concoction that was making them all sick. But it was too late. Her body was already reacting to the smell and movement of whatever it was he had eaten.
With a loud, gagging sound, Anna doubled over, clutching her stomach in pain. She felt nauseous and dizzy, like she might pass out. But she knew that there was only one thing left to do. Turning towards Alice, she yelled, "CLEAN IT UP, YOU FOOL!" before collapsing to the floor, her body wracked with spasms of discomfort.
As the morning wore on, Anna remained curled up on the floor, her body refusing to cooperate. She could hear Alice crying softly in the background, cleaning up the mess they had made. Eventually, a doctor was called in to help her, but it took hours for her to feel even slightly better.
When she finally sat up, she looked at Alice, who had tears streaming down her face. "Did you make me eat this, Alice?" she asked, her voice shaking with anger.
Alice nodded, her bottom lip trembling. "I'm sorry, Mistress Anna. I didn't want to, but I couldn't stop him."
Anna closed her eyes, taking a deep breath to calm herself. She knew it wasn't Alice's fault; her slave was clearly the one responsible for this disgusting incident. But the thought of returning home without having fulfilled her task filled her with disappointment and frustration.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Anna stood up, pushing past Alice to face her slave. "Look at me," she said, her voice shaking. "You've ruined everything. I should kill you for this."
The slave lowered his head, looking sheepish. "I'm sorry, Mistress Anna. I didn't mean to. I just...it was an accident."
Anna narrowed her eyes, weighing her options. She couldn't stay here any longer; the thought of being in this house, much less near her slave, made her feel ill. But she also couldn't return home without completing her task. With one final look of disgust at the slave, she turned to Alice and gave her a small, sad smile.
"It's okay, Alice. We'll figure something out. For now, let's just get out of here."
As they left the house, Anna felt a mixture of emotions: frustration, disappointment, and just a hint of relief. She knew that this was not the end of their journey, not by a long shot. But for now, she was just glad to be moving again, away from the nauseating stench of her slave's food and the memories of their disastrous breakfast together.
