Kate was enjoying her leisurely bath. It was one of her favorite times of the day. The warm, soothing water helped her unwind after a long day, and she loved nothing more than to float and drift away. Today was especially indulgent; she'd had a particularly stressful week, and she deserved a break.
She sank deeper into the water, letting her body relax. As she did so, she felt an unusual sensation in her lower abdomen. She'd eaten a lot of candy during the day - sugar-free candy, which didn't concern her normally - but today she'd overindulged. And now, she realized with some alarm, she was feeling quite bloated.
Kate sat up slightly in the water, placing a hand on her tummy. She could feel the tension building, the pressure increasing. Her body seemed to be telling her something important, but she wasn't quite sure what it was.
She took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. She didn't want to have to get out of the bath right now; it was just too nice. Slowly, carefully, she lay back and let her body sink once more into the water.
She closed her eyes, trying to relax. But as she did so, she felt another sensation - a familiar one, but one that she never wanted to experience in the bath. She gasped as a rush of gas burst from her body, sending a cloud of fart into the air around her.
Shit, she thought to herself, referring both to the literal and figurative meaning of the word. She'd really done it now. Not only was she filled with gas, but she''t her ass had just released a giant stream of diarrhea into the water around her. The smell was already starting to fill the room; she could only imagine what it must be like for anyone else in the house.
Kate opened her eyes, looking down at herself in the dirty, brown water. She was covered in her own filth, and there was no way she could just stay like this. She had to clean it up, no matter how much she didn't want to get out of the bath.
Slowly, reluctantly, she began to collect the pieces of shit by hand. It was gross, it was messy, but she had to do it. She didn't want anyone else seeing this - not her family, not her friends, certainly not anyone online. She just had to clean it up and move on.
As she worked, she started to realize just how much trouble she was in. Not only was the water filled with shit, but the valve that allowed water to flow away was broken. She didn't know how she was going to clean up this mess without making things even worse. And when she finally managed to get the water level low enough to reach the valve, she realized that her nails were too short to open it.
Feeling defeated, Kate sat in the dirty bathwater and considered her options. She was stuck - there didn't seem to be any way out of this situation. And yet, somehow, she couldn't bring herself to abandon the bath entirely. It was still soothing, even though it was filled with shit.
Hours passed, Kate sitting in the bath, lost in thought. She didn't know what to do, but she couldn't seem to make herself move. The water had cooled considerably by now, and she shivered slightly in the cold, dirty water. But still she sat, staring blankly ahead, trying to figure out a way out of this mess.
Finally, she made a decision. She would have to clean things up herself. It was going to be messy, it was going to be embarrassing - but she didn't have any other choice. She would have to do it, no matter how much she didn't want to.
With a deep breath, she climbed out of the bath and began the long, arduous process of cleaning up the mess she'd made. It took forever, and she was covered in filth by the time she was finished. But eventually, she managed to get the bathroom back to something resembling its original state.
As she turned to leave, she caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror. Her eyes were bloodshot, her skin pale; she looked as if she'd been through hell. And perhaps she had. But she was alive, and she'd managed to get through this mess. That, at least, was something to be thankful for.
