Johnny awoke with a start, his eyes snapping open to the empty bedroom. His girlfriend, Sarah, must've already left for work. It was nothing new, and he'd grown used to it over the years they'd been together. With a yawn, he rubbed the sleep from his eyes and swung his bare feet over the edge of the bed.
Moving down the hallway, Johnny made his way to the bathroom. He'd just barely had the chance to pee when his guts started cramping up. It had been a while since he'd had diarrhea, but now it was coming hard and fast. He grunted and groaned as he struggled to release the torrent of crap from his bowels. The whole time, he was aware of how loud he was, but it felt good to get rid of the discomfort.
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, his system was clear. With a sigh of relief, he reached for some toilet paper to clean himself up. Just as he was about to stand up, though, he heard a noise. A soft rustling coming from the direction of the shower.
His heart skipped a beat as he realized what was happening. Sarah was in the shower with him this entire time! His embarrassment level skyrocketed as he flushed the toilet and yelled for her to get out. She didn't respond, though, and he started to feel a little panicked.
"Sarah!" he called again, louder this time. No response. Johnny took a deep breath and then slowly opened the shower curtain. There she was, naked as the day she was born, bathing herself in the warm stream of water. His mouth went dry, and he couldn't look away from her perfect form.
Sarah turned around, facing him. A smile tugged at the corner of her mouth as she took in his flustered state. "Well, well," she said teasingly. "Look who's finally decided to join me." She stepped out of the shower, water dripping from her fingertips as she reached for a towel.
Johnny's face turned beet-red as she walked past him, her wet body leaving a trail of droplets on the floor. He tried to regain his composure but couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy. His girlfriend was beautiful, and he loved her, but right now, he just felt...uncomfortable.
Clearing his throat, Johnny grabbed a cloth and began cleaning up his mess. He knew he should say something, but the words caught in his throat every time he tried. Eventually, he managed to sputter out an apology for making so much noise earlier. Sarah just laughed and told him it was no problem; she'd gotten used to it over the years.
Johnny finished cleaning up and finally mustered the courage to step into the shower himself. As he stood there under the warm water, he couldn't help but feel grateful for Sarah. She'd caught him at his most vulnerable moment, and instead of making fun of him, she'd shown him compassion. He knew then that he loved her more than anything in the world.
And so, hand in hand, they stepped out of the shower and into their new day together.
